ARPL Tecnología Industrial S.A. is a Peruvian company established in 1949 by the Rizo Patrón brothers, originally under the name of ARPL Compañía de Administración e Inversiones S.A.
The abbreviation ARPL stands for the initials of late Antenor Rizo Patrón Lequerica, an outstanding mining engineer, in commemoration to his rich fruitful contribution to Peruvian mining and father of the founding (first) shareholders. Among his contributions it is important to mention the discovery of a new vanadium sulfur mineral in the Peruvian Andes, which was later called "rizopatronite" or "patronite", resembling (as) his second name. |
