Atocongo plant enlargement
Due to the increasing demand, Cementos Lima has decided to increase its plant capacity from 10,700 to 15,000 tons of clinker per day, and ute other projects in accordance with its environment and social development policy. The project has started on January 2007 and it is estimated to finish around December 2010. At the present, August 2008, the ution of the project reports a real progress of 4.04[%] in correspondence with 5.76[%] programmed. The activities carried out so far are the evaluations of proposals of mechanical supplies such as preheater, kiln and heat exchanger which are associated with the structural design and, therefore, with the construction kickoff.
