Hydroelectric power station el Platanal – up and running
Management, supervision, commissioning and start up of the project was assigned to ARPL. The station is located in the Cañete river basin and will produce 220 MW. Recognized companies are involved in the ution of the project such as INGETEC Colombia for engineering, J.J.Camet and Minera San Martín for construction and superficial works, Maz Errázuriz JME for underground works, Voith Siemens for equipment, Graña y Montero for Paucarcocha Dam and reservoirs construction and sheer armour assembly. The project consists in two regulation reservoirs one in Paucarcocha and the other one in Capillucas, one sand trap, a 12,45 kilometerlong tunnel, a 525 meterlong sheer , a power station with transformers and two Pelton turbines of 110 MW each one, and a restitution reservoir in San Juanito. The budget for this project is US220 millions of dollars, which are financed by BCP US80 millions and Scotiabank US40 millions.
